How to set paver steps against house with vinyl siding hi all just as the title states i am looking to put some paver steps leads outside of my house to my patio.
Please note this is an archived topic so it is locked and unable to be replied to.
Brick and stone pavers also don t require the extra step of applying mortar to secure them and they can be arranged in an attractive design of your choosing.
I am planning to install a patio with pavers in my back yard.
In addition to their durable nature and striking appearance one big advantage of building a patio or driveway with pavers steps is that they are not as labor intensive to work with when compared with building a frame and pouring concrete.
Concrete absorbs and holds water and most siding.
So i will have a 71 2 step down out of the house onto a 24 deep x 6 foot wide natural stone step then one more 7 1 2 step down onto the patio and then a 7 1 2 step off the patio and onto my yard.

I have not been able to locate much direction on how best to go about this if i need a ledger board etc.
However in order to get the proper level of the patio to the back door i will have to go above the brick foundation lining into the vinyl siding on the outside of the house.
Any suggestions for how to install this concrete step against a house.
You are right to be concerned about placing the new concrete step in direct contact with the fiber cement trim or most siding and trim materials for that matter.
If you find your plans require laying pavers against vents siding or other materials choose another patio plan.
I am thinking that i will have to remove the sidin.
